You will notice our pricing for business customers is slightly higher than for residential customers, and you might ask why you, as a business, should pay more.
The answer is you don't have to.
But ...
Business customer support is different than residential customer support, because business customers are given extra priority support over residential customers.
In the case of residential service, our policy is to make the best effort to resolve our customer's issues by phone between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. If the problem requires an on-site visit, we will make every effort to respond during the day before 5:00 PM. If the issue requires an onsite visit after hours, it will be done on the next business day. (Customer availability is required if in-home access is needed.)
However, business customers get first priority, 24/7 support, and if an on-site visit is required, we will make every effort to respond to your location within two (2) hours. We understand how important and vital internet access can be to the normal operation of your business. We depend on the internet, too, and expect our providers to provide first quality connections so we can in turn serve you. We fully expect you to be able to count on us for the same first quality product.
Look at it as an insurance policy. As an RTWB Business Class customer, you are assured we take your needs seriously, and if we are not able to resolve your issue within the two (2) hour window, you will begin to accumulate a refund/discount on your next bill at the rate of two days of service per actual day (or any part thereof after two hours and one minute) of outage. (Please note: this discount will apply only if the problem is on our side of your network connection.)
If your problems stems from an equipment failure on your side, we will help to identify the problem at no cost to you. If you choose, we can execute repairs, but these would not be covered under the terms of our internet contract with you. Our rates for this kind of service are materials plus $75.00 an hour, with a one (1) hour minimum "truck roll" charge.
We also offer our clients DataSafe, an off-site, triply-redundant data backup system for your critical files, at the low cost of $5.00 per gigabyte (1024 megabytes) of data per month. Our system requires a very simple software installation at your computer's location. This will backup all new data over an encrypted circuit, protecting your content against prying eyes. This backup can take place at any time during your business day, or after hours if you so specify. (We recommend after hours simply for purposes of data completeness and accuracy.)
Once again, that's only $5.00 per gigabyte per month, which would allow you to completely restore your data on a system that has failed you, in a very short time.
